Connecting multiple accounting accounts
Connect more than one QBO or Xero account under a single user, separate Team Accounts from My Accounts, and re-authenticate without breaking existing connections.
You can connect more than one QuickBooks Online (QBO) or Xero account to Levelup under the same user. Each account is tracked separately, holds its own OAuth tokens, and syncs only the companies that account can see. Use this when you have multiple firm logins, separate ownership groups, or different accountant credentials that each expose different sets of companies.
Overview
Integrations.- My Accounts lists every QBO or Xero account you personally connected. You can connect new accounts, reconnect a broken one, and disconnect any of them.
- Team Accounts lists every QBO or Xero account connected by other members of your organization, grouped by member and provider. You can view details on any team account. You can disconnect a teammate's account only if you are an admin or owner.
Each account row shows:
- The provider (QBO or Xero).
- The account label (provider account name or email).
- The number of companies the account exposes.
- The number of companies linked into Levelup.
- Whether the token is valid or invalid.
Connect an additional account
You can add another QBO or Xero account at any time. The new account is tracked alongside your existing ones — it does not replace them.
- Go to
Integrations. - Find the provider card for QuickBooks Online or Xero at the top of the page.
- Click the + button on the provider card. You can also use the Connect Another QuickBooks Online Account or Connect Another Xero Account button under the provider's account list in
My Accounts. - Complete the provider OAuth flow in the popup window. Sign in with the credentials of the new account.
- Approve access when prompted.
After the OAuth flow finishes, an Account Connected dialog opens. It shows:
- How many companies the new account exposes.
- How many companies were imported into Levelup.
- How many were duplicates of companies already linked through another account.
Companies that did not previously exist in Levelup are queued for import automatically.
View all your connections
You can drill into any account to see which companies it syncs.
- Go to
Integrations. - Click any row in
My AccountsorTeam Accounts. - Review the side panel. It lists every external company tied to that account, the linked Levelup company (if any), the import date, the last resync timestamp, and the connection status.
To filter the data feed table to only the companies from one account:
- Go to
Integrations. - Click the account row.
- Click View Data Feed on the provider card, or open
Integrations > Data Feed. The table can be filtered byaccountIdto show only that account's source rows.
Re-authenticate a specific account
My Accounts. Reconnecting reuses the same account record and refreshes its token, so existing company links are preserved.- Go to
Integrations. - Find the invalid account in
My Accounts. It shows a red Invalid badge. - Click Reconnect on that account row.
- Complete the OAuth flow in the popup. Sign in with the same provider credentials that originally connected this account.
- Approve access when prompted.
accountId. If you sign in with a different provider login than the one originally used, Levelup creates a new account record instead of repairing the invalid one. The invalid account stays invalid until you reconnect it with its matching credentials or disconnect it.What happens if you OAuth on the wrong account
accountId. Levelup does not overwrite the existing record:- The original invalid account stays invalid.
- A new account record is created under your
My Accountsfor the credentials you actually used. - Companies linked through the original account stay linked but stop syncing until that original account is reconnected with its correct credentials.
If this happens, do one of the following:
- Click Reconnect again on the invalid account row and sign in with the correct provider credentials.
- Disconnect the invalid account from
My Accountsif you no longer need its companies, then relink the affected Levelup companies to a feed from the new account inIntegrations > Data Feed.
Integrations > Data Feed, open the row for the company, and use Switch Active Feed. You can move a company to any other imported feed for the same external company, including feeds from a different user in your organization (admin or owner only).Disconnect an account
Disconnecting removes only the tokens and connections for that one account. Your other accounts and their linked companies are unaffected.
- Go to
Integrations. - Find the account in
My Accounts(orTeam Accounts, if you are an admin or owner disconnecting a teammate). - Click the X icon on that account row.
- Review the disconnect dialog. It shows how many linked companies will stop syncing.
- Click Disconnect.
My Accounts. Disconnect All appears only when you have more than one account connected for that provider.Disconnecting stops new data from syncing through that account. Historical data already in Levelup is kept. Reconnecting requires re-authorizing the provider from scratch.

Limitations
- Each provider account is identified by its provider-issued account ID. Reconnecting with a different provider login creates a new account record instead of repairing the existing one.
- Companies are linked to a specific connection. If the connection's account is disconnected, the company stops receiving new data until you reattach it to another imported feed in
Integrations > Data Feed. - The OAuth popup must be allowed in your browser. If popups are blocked, the connection flow will not start.
- Closing the OAuth popup before approving access cancels the connection attempt. No record is created.
- Reconnecting only refreshes the token for an account. It does not change which companies that account exposes — that is controlled by the provider.
- Bulk Disconnect All for a provider is only shown when you have two or more accounts connected for that provider in
My Accounts. - Switching a company's active feed across users requires the admin or owner role. Member-role users can only switch among their own connections.
