Sharing a company to a user outside of your organization is simple. Lets review the process.
At Levelup we believe that a company needs to easily share its financial performance with its external stakeholders, but only its stakeholders - not accidentally to another external user. A stakeholder isn't just a shareholder, a stakeholder can be a banker, investor, accountant, or other advisor.
We care a lot about data security and integrity. We don't want to someone to accidentally share something to someone they should. We make it easy to share a company to an external stakeholder as well as to manage that connection once it is established.
We don't allow a "daisy chain" of sharing to occur. Only the "owner" of the company can share said company to an external organization. That external organization cannot share the company again.
At Levelup we think about External access vs Internal access. External users are users that are not associated with your organization or workspace. If you work at Proven and you want to share a company with the client, then your clients are external users (e.g. they dont have @proven email addresses). This means that you want to Share with them.
Head on over to the Sharing Icon and get working on it.
When you Share a company with a user at an external organization it means that every ADMIN and OWNER within that organization can see the company that you have shared.
We are working on restricting visibility of companies within a portfolio to only OWNERs, ADMINs, and specifically assigned USERs. This feature is one of the first features we're introducing during our PUBLIC BETA phase. For now, all users within an organization can see all companies within that organization.
