Understanding Your Portfolio Dashboard

Navigate the company table, switch views, filter data, and open company details.

The portfolio dashboard is the first page you see after signing in. It lists all the companies in your organization and provides a high-level view of their financial health.

The Company Table

The main view is a data table where each row represents a company. By default, the table displays a set of commonly used financial columns, but you can customize which columns appear.

Default Information Shown

  • Company name -- The name of the company as imported from your accounting software.
  • Financial KPIs -- Columns such as revenue, net income, gross margin, current ratio, and other metrics depending on your column selection.
  • Labels -- Any labels you have assigned to categorize companies (for example, industry, region, or risk tier).

Sorting and Filtering

  • Select any column header to sort the table by that column in ascending or descending order.
  • Use the filter controls above the table to narrow the list by specific criteria, such as label, KPI threshold, or integration provider.
  • Filters can be combined with "and" or "or" logic.

A search bar is available in the table header. Type a company name to quickly find it in your portfolio. The search filters the table results in real time.

Date Range

The date range picker above the table controls which financial period is displayed. By default, Levelup shows the last 12 complete months. You can adjust the start and end months to view a different period. A comparison range can also be set to see period-over-period changes.

Table View vs. Pulse View

The portfolio dashboard offers two viewing modes, selectable from a toggle in the toolbar:

  • Table -- The standard spreadsheet-like view with sortable columns and server-side pagination. You can configure the page size (25, 50, 75, or 100 rows per page) using the controls at the bottom of the table. Best for detailed review and bulk actions.
  • Pulse -- A visual representation of your portfolio as a 3D scatter plot. Pulse view maps companies along selected KPI axes, making it easy to spot outliers and clusters at a glance.

Customizing Columns

Select Customize Columns in the table toolbar to choose which financial metrics appear as columns. You can add or remove columns from over 200 available data columns including KPIs, financial statement line items, and company metadata.

Column selections are saved in the URL, so you can bookmark or share a specific view with your team.

Saved Views

You can save your current column selection, filters, and sort order as a named view using the Saved Views feature in the toolbar. Saved views let you quickly switch between different configurations. You can also edit existing views or restore the default view at any time.

To view detailed financials for a specific company, select the company name (row) in the table. This opens the company detail view, which includes:

  • Overview -- A summary dashboard for the company.
  • Income Statement -- Detailed profit and loss data.
  • Balance Sheet -- Assets, liabilities, and equity breakdown.
  • Cash Flow Statement -- Cash flow from operations, investing, and financing.
  • KPIs -- Detailed KPI breakdowns across categories (capacity, credit, collateral, expense, cash).
  • Estimated Tax -- Tax estimation analysis for the company.
  • Macro Economics -- External economic indicators relevant to the company.

Adding a Company Manually

If you need to add a company that is not yet connected through an integration, select the + button in the table toolbar to create a new company record.

Exporting Data

Use the export option in the table toolbar to download your portfolio data for the selected date range. The export reflects the current column selection and filters.
